Deck Dress

General Info
The outfit consists of a full under-dress and an over-dress. The under-dress is ivory silk trimmed with lace at the neckline and cuffs as well as embroidery at the cuffs. It is fastened in the back with pearl buttons and loops.

The overdress is ivory silk with gold embroidery on top and gold silk on the bottom. The skirt is pleated and sewn to the ivory top. The front is fastened with a hook and eye. The belt is then drawn across the front and fastened with hook and eye in the back. The back is gathered up and has a slight train.

The outfit is completed with yellow pumps, with ribbon rosettes at the toe, white fishnet stockings and a baby pink gem and pearl necklace with matching earrings.

The Good
I didn't particually like this outfit in the film but it's my favorite on the doll. It fits beautifully and is wonderfully detailed. I love the train detail in the back and the simple gold embroidery. The color is lovely and the fabric drapes like a dream. The shoes and stockings are also great. I just love this outfit!

The Bad
The pearl buttons, while very pretty, are impractical and won't stay together. The under-dress is a little short, I would rather it went down to the floor. The slit in the front was actually a gather, similar to the back on the original garment.
