Underpinnings

General Info
This ensemble consists of a pair of off-white bloomers, accented with silk ribbon, trim, lace and tucks, an off-white chemise, accented with trim, lace and silk ribbon and an off-white satin long-line corset, also accented with lace, trim and silk ribbon. The corset is not actually boned but has hooks & eyes up the front and grommet lacing in the back. The ensemble is completed with an off-white silk hair ribbon, off-white tights and off-white shoes.

The Good
This is the coolest little outfit. There is a lot of attention to detail here and fits the doll well. The tiny corset is the coolest part, with it's little grommets and hook & eyes. The camisole and bloomers are lovely as well, made out of a fine, soft cotton and nicely trimmed. I love that the bloomers fasten with a tiny little button. I also loved the ivory shoes - so pretty!

The Bad
The bust of the corset is padded slightly, which is a nice accurate touch but it causes the top to stick out in an odd way on the doll.

The lacing used on the corset is a very silky, thin poly cording that was not finished at the ends. After lacing the corset up 3 times it had already begun to fray. It was also cut into shorts lengths making it awkward to lace. Had I kept this outfit I would have replaced it with longer thin silk ribbon.

The camisole is also awkward to put on Rose. It fastens on the side and is just funky to try to put on a doll who's arms don't bend.
