Dinner Dress

General Info
The gown consists of a pinkish-coral satin dress with fine black net overlays. The overlays are decorated with silver glitter swirls and sprinkled with black beads and half sequins. The outfit is completed by a satin coral petticoat, black pumps, a matching purse, a diamond studded hair band and a stunning rhinestone necklace with matching earrings

The Good
I love the back of the gown, with the little pleats that are swept back to the side - so elegant. The front layers are also lovely and accurate to the original. It fits Rose beautifully and I like having the ruffled petticoat underneath. The jewelry is truly exquisite, although the earrings are loose in my Rose's ears.

The Bad
This gown is a favorite of mine and probably the most complex gown (construction wise) in the film. My expectations were probably too high, so I was disappointed with FM's offering. The back is not accurate and I hate that hideous train, the way it puckers and looks all ruffly... yuck. The glitter design is pretty but it's not beaded which, though understandable, is disappointing. The snaps holding the dress together have required repairs after only a few times of being worn. Aren't these dresses designed so one can change the dolls clothes? *mreh*

The Rating
This gown was worthless to me as a costumer but as a doll dress it's quite elegant, so: for overall impression and look - 8 out of 10

Picture Notes
These pictures were taken with varying levels of flash, with a regular and a digital camera so the coral dress has come out as several different colors. The most accurate to life (at least on my computer) are the originals, with Rose in the dress. The dress is a very pink coral.
