Kimono
General Info
This outfit includes the kimono and a "leather" portfolio containing "sketches". That's it - no jewelry, no
slippers - making it the most expensive gown in the collection so far.
The Kimono is simple, a fitted open robe with wide sleeves and a collar (lined in beads) that becomes
a sash. The sleeves are decorated with gold threads woven in a simple paisley design.
The Good
The beading along the front of the belt was a nice touch as well as the woven paisley design on the sleeves. The sleeves are open along the outside edges like the original.
The black looks great on Rose, it must be the red hair. *smile*
The Bad
I expected a little copy of the sketch of Rose to be in the portfolio, or at
least copies of Jack's sketches (as drawn by J Cameron). Instead there is a
little collection of *artistic* scribbles. I guess the copyright was too
expensive for Franklin Mint or something.
The Coeur de la Mer really should have been included with
this outfit but the Franklin Mint has chosen to market the necklace separately.
A pair of little slippers would have been nice too. While I love the kimono, "chintzy" is the word that comes to mind.
